Update:The pictures actually mean something. Read to the end of the post to get to my point.

Update: Blogging late
At 2 in the morning this post read pretty well. After a good nights rest, I feel it needed some revising. I really need to write during the day.

A bit of gloating.
I love how Rathergate is about the forged memos and not about the accusations against Bush. As well it should be. The allegations are old and the possibility of a conspiracy between CBS/Burkette and the DNC is just too juicy to ignore.

Can you imagine the fear Mary Mapes is going through right now? They’ve made her the scapegoat, and I don’t think she’s going to take it lying down. Expect her to take a few swings as well. I guarantee you this is going to get a lot uglier. And I for one can’t wait to see how this unfolds.

Bush allegations
As for the allegations towards Bush’s guard status; that particular issue was put to rest during the democratic primaries. The fact that dems want to beat this dead horse even further just shows you their lack of real issues. They should know better than to bring a rubber band (Bush being AWOL) to a gun fight (The Swift Boat Vet ads.) Good luck J/J. Kerry is unrepentant for the way he conducted himself when he got back from Nam and everything in these ads is valid and hard to refute. Just look at how each day it’s a new giant angry accusation from him, and you’ll start to get a sense of how desperate he really is. Bush has a back door plan to reinsate the draft! Bush went AWOL! Bush missed an opportunity at the UN! I would not be in Iraq today! I would be in Iraq today! Etc etc etc. And yet, what always tops the news? What issues do we blog and read about? We are totally preoccupied with Rathergate and the Swift Boat Vet ads. Good.

I've got gas
It's starting to get a bit out of hand at the pump. It costs me about 30 bucks to fill the tank now. It hurts, but I’m sure this too will pass.

Mommy’s little rapist – Isn’t he sweet?
Anyone else feel like it's been a slow news day or two? I know Rather/Memogate is big, but it's also everywhere, know what I mean? What else is there? Well, lets see... An 11 year old rapes a 76 year old! This story... I can't even wrap my mind around this one. Sheesh man... 11! Mommy thinks he’s a good widdo boy though. She says she raised him right. Pflah... don't pee on my leg and tell me its raining lady. And while you’re at it, move away from old people. *shudder*

What does the Kerry campaign and South Korea have in common?
How about a man (Chung Byung-Man) who used to be in South Korea's National Intelligence Service? It seems as though the South Koreans have no love for the Bush administration and are trying to help in their own special way.

A South Korean man who met with John Kerry's fund-raisers to discuss creating a new political group for Korean-Americans was an intelligence agent for his country, raising concerns among some U.S. officials that either he or his government may have tried to influence this fall's election.

South Korean officials and U.S. officials told The Associated Press that Chung Byung-Man, a consular officer in Los Angeles, actually worked for South Korea's National Intelligence Service.

A spokesman for the South Korean consulate office said Chung was sent home in May amid "speculation'' he became involved with the Kerry campaign and Democratic Party through contacts with fund-raiser Rick Yi and that his identity couldn't be discussed further.

A campaign spokesman for Kerry, the Democratic nominee for president, said the campaign did not know Chung was an intelligence agent or that Yi, one of the campaign's key fund-raisers in the Asian-American community, was meeting with him until it was brought to light by the AP.

AP was alerted to the meetings and Chung's identity as an intelligence agent by Democratic donors and fund-raisers who said they were uncomfortable with the activities.
It’s entirely possible for the Kerry campaign to not have known about Chung. And I’m glad that some of the fundraisers became uncomfortable with him being there, but what was he involved in that alerted the fundraisers sensibilities? Why aren’t those who work for the Kerry campaign thoroughly screened before hand? Surely this guy would have raised a red flag had he been screened.

California crack is now legal in public
Can you believe this? Evidently naked yoga is now legal in SanFransico.

The Naked Yoga Guy, whose name is George Monty Davis, had stripped to stretch nearby Fisherman's Wharf, prompting a public complaint. But prosecutors decided they had a weak public nuisance case against him because local laws do not bar public nudity.

"Simply being naked on the street is not a crime in San Francisco," said Debbie Mesloh, a spokeswoman for the district attorney's office.

"To bring a case, a person would have to exhibit lewd behavior, block traffic or impede pedestrians on a sidewalk, something along those lines."
Can anyone tell me one yoga pose that wouldn't be considered lewd if done naked? For goodness sake, doing yoga in a private class is almost lewd. This is yet another case of how common sense and intelligence has been forgotten in the most liberal state in the union.

Next up for legalization in California is public-obese-naked-jumping-jacks, and nude Velcro wall jumping.
