Does this election feel familiar?

Does this election feel familiar to you? It should. It's reminiscent of the 1984 Mondale/Ferraro ticket that won Reagan 49 out of the 50 states. We have two very liberal senators, against an incumbent president who says what he believes and follows through with his promises. I don't believe for a second that Bush will take 49 out of 50 this year, but it should help you feel more confident in Bush's chance for re-election if you felt prone to despair.

George Will states it this way in his latest column:

The most liberal senator's choice of the senator tied with two others as the second-most liberal (as measured by the nonpartisan National Journal) has produced a ticket of Washington-centric liberalism reminiscent of only the 1984 Walter Mondale-Geraldine Ferraro ticket, which lost 49 states.
Need more confidence? Scott from Election Projection does a good job listing 21 reasons why Bush will win, if you need even more reinforcement.
